“Not being big on testimonials but, after attending a recent U.S. Pickleball Camp led by Chris, we had to write this one. We started playing some 5 years ago, laid off for 2 ½ years and are now getting back onto the courts. We have attended several camps, only to feel disappointed. We received only basic shot instructional content and never learning the answer to “WHY do I need to do that?” In this camp we finally got answers. With a small player to coach ratio, we received outstanding instruction, detailed explanation (so much detail from Collin), on court adjustments and corrections, and finally got the coaching we had been seeking. We play mixed-doubles and have reached the podium in our first two tournaments following the camp. The knowledge given at camp was vast, but we have continued to work with our newly found insight, correct shot selection, and techniques. While we have a long way to go, we smile and tell each other how much we see improvement in our game play. We cannot thank Chris and Collin enough for a great camp and coaching experience. “After attending some bigger camps in the past, US Pickleball Camps was a breath of fresh air. The smaller group (15 in my case) did indeed feel intimate and personalized. Collin's lessons went directly to what would impact our games quickly, while Chris' approach of the mechanics kept it succinct and impactful. Lesson plan was systematic from soft shots to hard shots to shot selection. The clinic was very well run and organized with Susie keeping things in order. Everyone was so nice, approachable and down to earth. It's been a few weeks now and I have been reviewing the camp's notes drilling and applying them to my games. Never felt so relaxed hitting shots and mentally prepared with my positioning. Definitely improved my game already. Included courtside ticket to PPA Austin was icing on the cake.
