About us.
Our Story
Chris Harradine was raised in Sydney, Australia, in a family deeply involved in the tennis scene. He followed that path! Susie was raised on a farm in Minnesota and was a social worker. They have both been in Southern California for the past 20 years and raised Susie’s 3 children there. They are a dynamic duo at running events and entertaining at fundraisers, tournaments, camps, and more.
Chris began playing tennis at the age of 3, coaching at the age of 14. He came to America to work at Pepperdine University Tennis Camps in Malibu at the age of 18. The camp is a world-renowned tennis camp known for high-quality and analytical coaching. He returned to CA to live and won numerous state tennis tournaments. For 10 years, Chris coached with the men’s and women’s Pepperdine tennis teams and advancement department. He left and spent the next 6 years at private country clubs, consistently growing their racket sports programs and studying pickleball coaching under Collin, from amateur to pro levels.
Collin Johns was working at Baltimore County Club in 2021, and Chris was consulting for the summer. Collin was training to be Ben’s partner but still coaching amateurs there. He took Chris under his wing and trained him extensively for play and coaching after seeing Chris’s technical skills coaching tennis. Collin certified Chris under PPR and RPO. Collin has won 47 medals and continues to train with and teach Chris to this day.
Chris is now a Joola-sponsored coach, directs U.S. Pickleball Camps with Susie, and is the touring pro at Sherwood Country Club in Southern California. He works a few times each year as a Coordinator and Lead Coach for Dekel Bar and Ben Johns’ Pickleball Getaways traveling camps. He coaches from amateur level to top pros.
Racket Pro Organization, also designed by Collin Johns, is the gold standard of pickleball certification programs in the U.S. and expanding around the globe. Chris is one of the Lead International Clinicians certifying coaches. Chris assisted Collin developing the first of its kind 10-week intensive pickleball coaches training program, “COEBRA”, for RPO. They taught the 10 week program for the first time in Vietnam in 2025 to 12 COEBRA coaches, all aspiring pros/ coaches from all around Asia.
Family and social connection are a deep value of Chris and Susie’s. Pickleball grew in the U.S. out of COVID when everyone needed connection and fun outdoors, they were enamored as well. Their love of entertaining and Chris’s coaching expertise led them organically to running camps with Collin in California, and now it is their full-time work around the world!
Donations
We are proud to donate 5% of our pickleball income to three causes close to our hearts: mental health, diabetes and breast/ovarian cancer. Donating to various organizations supporting these three causes has been a fulfilling part of our journey.
