About us.

Our Story

Chris Harradine was raised in Sydney, Australia, and his wife Susie was born and raised in Minnesota on a farm. They have both resided in Southern California over 20 years and have raised Susie’s three children there. They are a dynamic duo at running events and entertaining from fundraisers, tournaments, camps and more.

Chris met Collin Johns when he consulted for the racquet sports program at Baltimore Country Club in 2021. Collin was still coaching as the Head Professional at the time. He took Chris in and trained him intensively to play and coach pickleball. Chris was certified by Collin through PPR’s coaching certification. They have continued their coaching and friendship to this day.

Chris began playing tennis at the age of 3, coaching at the age of 14 in Australia. He came to America to work Pepperdine’s tennis summer camps in his late teens and fell in love with Malibu. He returned to start winning state championships in California and then coaching players to wins from high school to pro. He worked at Pepperdine University with both the Mens and Women’s Tennis teams, then moved on for a few years in their Advancement Department as the Director of Tennis. He has since worked at high end country clubs with both tennis and pickleball facilities, consistently growing the pickleball programs.

Chris’s original coaching skills were refined under Peter Smith and Adam Steinberg, of Pepperdine and USC tennis fame. This style is high quality, detailed, analytical and memorable. Training for pickleball coaching under Collin’s analytical style was a natural progression and great fit. Their style is very unique and from beginner to advanced, there is a great deal of learning in a short amount of time.

Besides owning and coaching US Pickleball Camps, Chris is coaching for Pickleball Getaways, a world wide adventure camp owned by Ben Johns and Dekel Bar. Chris is a lead certifying coach with Racket Professional Organization, RPO, Collin Johns’ and Joola’s coaching certification program. He is the Sherwood Country Club Touring PB Pro, active there when we are home in CA. Lastly, Chris hosts a Malibu based PB Nike Camp at Pepperdine University.

Chris and Susie value family and social connection deeply, so when Pickleball became a wonderful social venue for everyone during Covid, they became enamored as well. Their love of entertaining with Chris’s expertise at coaching led them organically to running a few camps with Collin in California and the rest is history!

Donations

We are proud to donate 5% of our pickleball income to three causes close to our hearts: mental health, diabetes and breast/ovarian cancer. Donating to various organizations supporting these three causes has been a fulfilling part of our journey.
